Job Description :- Backup and Storage Admin L2
Responsibilities :-
Troubleshooting and resolving escalated storage issues (performance, access, replication).
Provisioning and configuring storage systems (LUNs, volumes, snapshots).
Performing storage migrations and upgrades.
Implementing and managing disaster recovery (DR) and backup solutions.
Performance tuning of storage arrays and protocols (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI).
Collaborating with other teams (network, server, virtualisation) for integrated solutions.
Maintaining storage documentation, diagrams, and configuration records.
Participating in change management and incident resolution processes.Use of monitoring tools for performance, capacity planning, and alerting.
Ability to generate and analyze reports for backup success/failure, storage utilization, etc.
Design and maintain disaster recovery plans.
Participate in DR drills and ensure high availability of critical systems.
Strong knowledge of enterprise storage systems (e.g., NetApp, EMC, HPE).
Experience with storage protocols and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
Familiarity with data replication and snapshot technologies.
Understanding of ITIL best practices and service delivery models.
Deep knowledge of SAN/NAS storage systems, tape libraries, and FC switches.
Hands-on experience with backup solutions like Comm vault Backup S/w
Proficiency in multi-OS environments: Windows, Linux, Unix, VMware, Nutanix.
Strong understanding of storage architecture, backup agents.
Minimum 5+ Years of Relevant Experiance in Storage and Backup adminstrator
