We are seeking a Technical Product Manager with a strong foundation in engineering or sales engineering, or at least 3 years of hands-on product management experience. This role is ideal for individuals who combine deep technical knowledge with customer-centric insights, enabling them to drive impactful product decisions that bridge technical capabilities and market demands within IBM’s Data and AI portfolio focused on data integration and real time streaming.
Partner closely with engineering, sales engineering, and customer-facing teams to translate technical capabilities into product strategy.
Lead product ideation, roadmap development, and release planning leveraging both business insights and technical know-how.
Act as a subject matter expert for product features, architecture, and integration points.
Analyze market trends and customer feedback, especially from technical and sales conversations, to refine product direction.
Drive cross-functional alignment and clear communication between engineering, sales, and product stakeholders.
Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, providing product expertise to clients and partners.
Measure and optimize product performance, championing improvements based on business and technical metrics.
At least 3 years of experience in product management, OR a background in engineering or sales engineering.
Demonstrable success leading product initiatives in technology-driven environments.
Strong understanding of technical concepts, software architectures, or enterprise technology solutions.
Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience collaborating with engineering, sales, and customer success teams.
Solid project management skills and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Previous hands-on experience in software, cloud platforms, data solutions, or enterprise B2B products.
Prior success in sales engineering or customer-facing technical roles.
Knowledge of product analytics, user engagement metrics, or technical sales cycles.
Experience with developer tools, APIs, and technical integrations.
Experience in the Data Integration space is not mandatory but deeply valued
Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related STEM field.
