We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Architect with deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud platforms. This role is critical in designing, deploying, and managing scalable infrastructure solutions that support enterprise-grade applications, including MAS components. In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Architect and manage OpenShift clusters, including operator lifecycle management and platform upgrades.
Design and implement infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud.
Support deployment and integration of MAS components such as Cloud Pak for Data, Db2, and Cognos.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure infrastructure scalability, security, and performance across cloud and on-prem environments.
Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud-native best practices and DevOps automation.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud architecture roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of the following:
- OpenShift cluster management and operator model
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud
- MAS components and prerequisites: Cloud Pak for Data, Db2, Cognos
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with hybrid cloud deployments and container orchestration at scale.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Exposure to enterprise security and compliance standards.
- Certification in cloud platforms or OpenShift/Kubernetes is a plus.
